Northern Nevada Fire Protection (NNFP) was established in October 2013 and is proudly headquartered in Reno, Nevada. As a licensed NV C41 Full Service fire protection contractor, NNFP specializes in comprehensive fire protection solutions, serving clients across Northern Nevada and surrounding areas. The company is committed to safeguarding lives and property by providing high-quality fire sprinkler, fire alarm, standpipe, and high-rise system designs and installations. NNFP’s work spans a wide range of industries including residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with a reputation for delivering reliable and code-compliant fire protection systems.
The company was founded by Mr. Dennis Cobon, who also serves as its President. Mr. Cobon brings over 35 years of experience in the fire protection industry. What began as a summer job during his high school years quickly evolved into a lifelong vocation. His deep understanding of the serviceability of fire systems, combined with a strong commitment and passion for fire safety, has guided NNFP’s growth and success. Mr. Cobon remains involved in the business, particularly in the engineering and design aspects, and is the engineer of record on many of the company’s projects.
NNFP is distinguished by its in-house design capabilities, employing a skilled team of fire protection engineers and CAD designers who are well-versed in local and national fire codes. From initial concept through to final permitting, the team is equipped to handle the complete design process. This includes detailed system layout, hydraulic calculations, code compliance review, and coordination with architects, contractors, and local authorities. Their expertise allows them to take on a wide range of project scopes, from tenant improvements to large-scale commercial developments and high-rise installations.
